2021 Otawn Youth

Cultural Camp (web/social)

The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) Métis Virtual Fall Camp is a great opportunity for Métis youth (grade 10 to 12) to participate in cultural activities online.

The camp will celebrate Métis history as well as traditional and contemporary way of life and culture. Programming will be in sync with the fall season and will engage Métis youth in learning Métis culture and way of life. Each day will consist of different workshops focusing on land-based knowledge, storytelling, cultural arts and community building.  Access to technology and reliable internet is required to participate in the camp.

The camp will run from 6 pm - 9 pm EST Friday, October 22 and Saturday, October 23 to Sunday, October 24, 2020, from 9 am - 4 pm EST.

STUDENT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

•   Must self-identify as Métis 

•   Enrolled and attending high school within the province of Ontario 

•   In grades 10, 11, 12 (ages 15 -18) 

•   Provide a letter of support from a teacher/guidance counsellor or a Metis community council member and a letter of motivation
